Café Artisano needed a website for their café to promote their shop and allow customers to buy coffee beans from them, and subscribe to a delivery service where subscribers would receive coffee beans every few weeks. The site had to have the feel of being inside a posh café or restaurant.
Like any site, I started with some rough sketches that became grey box mockups, breaking down the layout I wanted inside of the standard Bootstrap grid. After picking one of the two variations of the site, I was ready to move on to the color mockups and apply my style tile that I had made. The main challenge was building out how I wanted the search system to work, and I decided that a series of checkboxes to pinpoint the type of coffee you were looking for would be the best solution. The user would easily know what to do, how to fill out the form, and have what they were looking for in a matter of seconds.
The Café site came out as a minimal modern site that allows users to accomplish what they need quickly and efficiently.
